Receiving/Blend Setup Warehouseman
Description:
Responsible for inspection, warehousing and unloading of material delivered from vendors, the tagging and stacking of those bales in the raw material warehouse, retrieval of bales from the warehouse, placement of bales in blend setup area and recording of the bales in setup. This is accomplished by monitoring and operating labeling equipment and forklift
General responsibilities:
Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Recommend safety improvements
Recommend production improvements
Comply with all safety and management programs
Be an active participant in work team development
Keep workplace clean and orderly
Provide On-The-Job training as assigned by supervisor for other employees
Be knowledgeable of all types of raw material required for finished product.
Job Risks:
Pinching, compression, tripping, eyes, electricity, cuts and abrasion, falling bales, forklift
control and fire
Safety equipment required:
Gloves, safety glasses, dust masks (optional) & ear plugs (while in production area)
General requirements:
Capable of performing tasks including but not limited to working at heights and working in confined spaces. Abie to read, write and convey ideas. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds with adequate body flexibility
Quality:
Observe the receipt of materials for quality expectations and report any abnormal quality issues to Plant Manager. Identify and isolate abnormal production.
Cleaning:
Specifically but not limited to-Warehouse, receiving and setup floor work area, receiving docks and ramps, and associated aisles, walls and overhead structures
Training:
Fully understand and demonstrate competence in tasks as described in the Job Task Analysis documents.

Manual labeling operation
