Bale Press Operator
Description:
Responsible for operation of baling presses and associated equipment to effect a finished bale at the off-loading section of the bailing conveyor. This is accomplished by monitoring automated baling processes, installing bale wrap on platens, storage and handling of bale wire bundles, placing and connecting of bale wire on the bale, tagging and labeling, routine bale press servicing and site cleanup.
General responsibilities:

Provide On-The-Job training as assigned by supervisor for other employees
Job Risks:
Pinching, compression, tripping, eyes, electricity, cuts and abrasion; and fire
Safety equipment required: Gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, and dust mask (optional)
General requirements:
Capable of performing tasks including but not limited to working at heights and working in confined spaces. Able to read, write and convey ideas. Must be able to lift at least 5O pounds with adequate body flexibility
Cleaning: Specifically but not limited to- Presses, press platforms, pits, finished conveyor into warehouse, press floor work area, wire and plastic wrap storage, associated aisles, walls overhead structures and ductwork.
Training:
Fully understand and demonstrate competence in tasks as described in the Job Task Analysis documents.
